    Professional profile:
    Dr Hudson trained at Birmingham medical school. His MD thesis at University Hospital Nottingham was in gastro-intestinal injury associated with NSAIDS. He was appointed senior registrar in gastroenterology at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary before appointment as Consultant Gastroenterologist at City Hospital Birmingham in 1995. He moved to Worcester Royal Infirmary in Spring 2000. He has a keen interest in all aspects of clinical gastroenterology, particularly diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP. He has a large clinical practice in inflammatory bowel disease. He recently set up a video capsule endoscopy service for examination of the small intestine with a swallowed pill camera.
