Rowing the English Channel for charity

Spire Portsmouth Hospital are proud sponsors of a team of consultants and anaesthetists from Spire Portsmouth and QA who will row the English Channel on the 13th of June to raise money for charity.

The team will row from Nieuwpoort, Belgium to the English Coast - either Dover or Ramsgate - which is over 50 miles of open sea. This takes around 10 to 12 hours of rowing - a long dawn to dusk day.

The team are hoping to raise money for Dreams Come True, a charity that works to enrich the lives of children and young people between 2-21 who suffer from serious and life-limiting conditions.
