Kate has over 20 years experience as an Occupational Therapist, experience ranging from, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Burns and Plastic, Hand Trauma, Neurology and Rheumatology. She has worked both for the private sector and the NHS, as well as providing an Independent Occupational Therapy Service on a consultancy basis providing hand rehabilitation reports for Insurance companies, providing treatment for complex wrist and hand injuries.
Kate has splinting experience with adults and children, skills including splinting both static and dynamic splinting. Kate has run basic anatomy of the hand and splinting courses on a private basis. Kate has also run joint protection groups in the past for the NHS.
Kate's aim as an Occupational therapist is to consider the "whole" person and base the treatment accordingly, working closely with Surgeons and Physiotherapists.
