Mr Dhukaram is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialist interest in foot and ankle surgery. He has extensive experience in all aspects of foot and ankle pathology with special interest in sports injuries, deformity correction and minimally invasive surgery.
He was trained and accredited as an orthopaedic surgeon from South Trent Training Scheme. Further to this he undertook advanced fellowship training from renowned foot & ankle centres - Nottingham and RNOH Stanmore and also awarded British Orthopaedic foot & ankle society and European foot & ankle society travelling fellowships.
Mr Dhukaram has set up the specialist foot and ankle service at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS trust and continue to develop. His surgical practice includes modern hallux valgus (bunion) surgery, lesser toe surgery, arthroscopic procedures of ankle, subtalar, big toe joints including arthroscopic guided joint fusions to accelerate the post-operative recovery in complex conditions. Moreover he performs ankle replacement, ligament reconstruction, midfoot & hindfoot deformity correction, rheumatoid foot surgery, diabetic foot surgery, tendon transfers, tendon reconstruction, foot & ankle fracture fixation and revision surgery for previous unsuccessful procedures from other surgical units.
He has published and presented widely in Foot & Ankle surgery, and remains active in research and training. He strives to provide the best possible outcome for his patients and spends time to ensure patients have a good understanding of their condition, treatment options and likely outcome.
