Professional profile:
I had an extensive surgical training at the Bombay Hospital, Bombay. I became a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay in 1979. I then acquired a Membership to the National Academy of Medical Sciences of India in 1981. I was awarded an FRCS in 1989 and decided to pursue a career in Orthopaedics.

To this effect I gained an M Ch Orth in 1991 from the University of Liverpool. My orthopaedic training took place in the West Midlands at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. I trained as a Senior Registrar at St Thomas' & Guy's Hospital in London.

I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Birmingham Heartlands & Solihull Hospital in 1996.
Personal profile:
I am married with two children. I play tennis, cricket and golf and work out in the gym on a regular basis to keep fit.

I enjoy Indian music and adore folk dances.
