Mr Negi has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist working full time at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust since 2008. He completed his training from Yorkshire and Nottingham and completed an 18 months fellowship in glaucoma and cataract surgery at Western Eye hospital in London and a 12 months fellowship in diabetic eye diseases at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. He has published extensively on diabetic macular oedema, cataract surgery, glaucoma and also has an honorary senior lecturer position at the Aston University.
Mr Negi is the lead glaucoma consultant in the NHS hospital and has clinics at Heartlands and Solihull hospitals. He also provides private services at Spire Parkway Hospital, Solihull. He is a recognised provider for most of the insurance providers including BUPA and AXA. His special interests include phacoemuslification small incision cataract surgery, glaucoma, spectacle independence, diabetic eye diseases and general ophthalmology.
