    Having obtained a first class degree in Medicine from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, Dr Kamal Nathavitharana completed his postgraduate training and qualifications in the UK, obtaining a PhD and becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics. He has been a clinical lecturer in the UK and abroad for many years and became a consultant in 1995.

    Dr Nathavitharana works as a general paediatrician and has a strong interest in food allergy and paediatric gastroenterology. He enjoys exploring new and better ways of communicating with children.
