Mr Tom Wilson is a consultant ENT surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He completed his undergraduate training in London and postgraduate training in East Anglia. He has gained wide experience in ENT working in a number of major teaching hospitals including St Georges Hospital (London), Cambridge University Teaching Hospital and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. He was awarded an implant Fellowship in Cambridge that provided specialist training in skull base surgery, otology, hearing implantation surgery and balance disorders.
His interest in these fields continues through his involvement in the advanced middle ear surgery course of which he is a convener and runs annually in Cambridge. As a consultant at Leeds Teaching Hospitals he is a member of a team dedicated to delivering the highest quality care in ENT, otology and hearing implantation. His areas of responsibility include being governance lead for the department, setting up the multidisciplinary hearing implant MDT and leading on the new consultants’ network.
With his NHS practice in both Wharfedale hospital and Leeds General Infirmary he provides a general adult and paediatric NHS practice including nasal and sinus disease with a special interest in adult and paediatric ear conditions including complex middle ear disease, balance disorders, tinnitus and hearing loss.
