Dr Dubowitz currently is a consultant cardiologist at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and visiting consultant at Harefield Hospital. He was clinical director of cardiology and metabolic medicine from 2002-2008.
He qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1988 and trained in Oxford, where his doctorate (DPhil) was in looking at complex genetic predisposition to disease for which he was elected to a college fellowship.
He subsequently specialised in cardiology with further training at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School (Hammersmith Hosptial) and Harefield Hospital.
He is accredited in both Cardiology and General Medicine and has a special interest in the early diagnosis and prevention of heart disease.
