Dr Khan was appointed to a joint post as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Hemel Hempstead and St Mary's Hospitals, Paddington in December 2004. He trained in Cardiology in London, primarily at St Mary's and The Hammersmith Hospitals. Before this he worked as a junior doctor in London and East Anglia after qualifying in medicine from The University of Cambridge in 1991.
Dr Khan provides a comprehensive general Cardiology service, managing coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart rhythm problems and heart failure. Additionally, he has special interests in interventional cardiology, i.e. coronary angiography and angioplasty, echocardiography and palpitations.
