Mr Murali Bhat is a consultant orthopaedic and upper limb surgeon at Spire Gatwick Park private hospital in Horley, Surrey offering private appointments to patients in Surrey and Sussex in our clean and comfortable private hospital.

Having finished his orthopaedic training in India, Mr Bhat went on to complete his UK higher training experience in Portsmouth.

Mr Bhat completed a fellowship in hand surgery at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham and subsequently in Portsmouth, he learnt most of the techniques advanced surgical techniques in hand and upper limb surgery including arthroscopy and microsurgical techniques.

During his basic and higher surgical training, Mr Bhat undertook research into the management of wrist problems including distal radial fractures, scaphoid fractures and perilunate injuries as well as shoulder problems including shoulder problems including frozen shoulder and impingement.

His current research interests include compression neuropathies in the upper limb and wrist problems.

Mr Bhat aims to provide a comprehensive orthopaedic service with a special interest in upper limb and foot surgery.

I have two children, a girl and a boy. I enjoy cycling and charity work, and combining the two has presented one of my biggest challenges, cycling over the Andes from Argentina to Chile, raising funds for the Urology Foundation.
