As a teenager Wendy’s aspiration to live the healthy life was part of her success as a member of the Elite training squad at Stretford AC, joining the ranks with Sharon Colyear and Shirley Strong, Commonwealth medallists. She sprinted to victory as Lancashire AAA Champion 7 years running and her Championship records in 100m and 200m stood for nearly 20 years. She was ranked 5th in UK as a junior 200m sprinter. She still keeps fit but has replaced the track with the Pilates studio and can also be found enjoying a game of Badminton at her local club.
Wendy qualified as a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and after gaining experiencing within the NHS joined the corporate world where she has had many years of experience as a Business Development Manager and worked as UK Sales Manager for a Sports Nutrition company. With more than a keen interest in Nutrition, Wendy turned her hobby into a fulfilling career and qualified as a Nutritional Therapist before taking up a role as Lead Nutritionist for Win Naturally at St.Georges Park working with Corporate clientele , Football players and Football managers. Her private practise in the North of England attracts clients from many walks of life and includes Premiership footballers, Celebrity clientele and local athletes. Wendy also has a clinic in Preston with an eating disorder and weight management company.
With over 15 years experience in the corporate sector, Wendy understands the stress and pressure and nutritional difficulties encountered in the corporate environment and can use this to an advantage when advising corporate clientele. Wendy also joined The Wellness Academy last year to give Nutritional workshops and consultations to the Corporate sector.
Wendy has experience of working with professional football clubs in the UK and Finland. She has written articles for National newspapers and has recently appeared on the Disney channel with Fabrice Muamba. Wendy also ran a successful weight loss class in Lytham St.Annes with success not only with reducing weight, but resulting in reduction in cholesterol levels and blood pressure.
