Ali Ghoz is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. He consults at Harley Street, London and Mulberry Private Healthcare, Cambridgeshire. Mr Ghoz is a Visiting Professor in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University Hospitals of Moldova. Mr Ghoz completed his basic surgical training at the Yorkshire School of Surgery progressing to a National Training Number for Specialist Registrar training at the Yorkshire Deanery. He obtained his FRCS in trauma and orthopaedics in 2011. Mr Ghoz also holds a Master of Science degree from Oxford University specialising in musculoskeletal sciences.
In 2013, Mr Ghoz completed a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstructive surgery at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. In 2014, Mr Ghoz completed the Australian Orthopaedic Association accredited adult hip/knee arthroplasty, knee arthroscopy and sports medicine fellowship at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. Mr Ghoz published numerous peer-reviewed research papers in the field of hip and knee surgery and has presented his work at numerous national and international meetings. Mr Ghoz is a reviewer on the British Bone and Joint Journal and is an advanced trauma life support (ATLS) instructor. He is a medical student examiner and teaches on international courses, including the prestigious Oxford University Miller Orthopaedic Review course. He is an educational supervisor for the foundation doctors in orthopaedics. Mr Ghoz has global operating experience including work in eastern Europe, Middle East, and Asia besides the UK.
Mr Ghoz has a special interest in revision hip and knee surgery, as well as extensive experience in primary hip replacement, muscle sparing anterior hip replacement (see video below), hip resurfacing arthroplasty, partial knee replacement, total knee replacement, computer-aided surgery and knee arthroscopic surgery and soft tissue knee reconstruction surgery.
