Dunedin Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic offer a dynamic service specialising in all musculoskeletal conditions. The clinic prides itself in providing the very best in diagnosis and treatment, using a multi-disciplinary approach that includes Chartered Physiotherapists, a podiatrist, an orthotist and sports massage therapists. The physiotherapy clinic is based within the hospital allowing for close links to orthopaedic consultants if required.

Our expert physiotherapists provide assessment and treatment for all musculoskeletal problems including:

Physiotherapy is used for treating musculoskeletal injuries including neck pain, back pain also general aches and pains of the joints and muscles.

We also treat sporting injuries such as muscle pulls or ligament sprains, as well as lower limb biomechanics, with a goal to return you to your sporting activity as soon as possible.

We also specialise in post-operative rehabilitation, such as following fractures, knee/ankle arthroscopies, cruciate ligament repairs, total knee/hip replacements, shoulder surgery. This rehabilitation is essential in order to return you to your normal activities and hobbies.

We also have specialist physiotherapists who treat:

  • Jaw pain (tempero-mandibular joint)
  • Womens Health – incontinence -  frequency/urgency

We have close links with consultants so that when required, further diagnosis and investigation (MRI, X-Rays or Ultrasound) are obtainable, ensuring your problem can be dealt with efficiently. Our aim is to provide you with a holistic package of care, individualised for your needs.

Initial consultation

Your initial visit to physiotherapy will involve a one-hour consultation to establish the history of your condition an assessment and treatment. Your goals for treatment will be established and you will be advised on what you need to do to achieve these.

Opening times

Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 8pm and 8am to 7pm on Fridays.
