Spire Clare Park Hospital offers comprehensive ranges of tests and scans to examine any part of the body, inside and out. This includes MRI and CT scanning, ultrasound, mammography and X-ray services.
Our diagnostic tests are performed in the safety of a well-equipped hospital, by highly trained and experienced radiographers in a clean and comfortable environment.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI scanning is a special technique that uses magnets and radio waves to produce two and three dimensional pictures of the inside of your body. Read more about having an MRI scan.
Computerised Tomography (CT)
CT uses X-ray equipment and a computer to create detailed images (scans) of the inside of your body such as bones, soft tissues and the brain. The images can be seen in two and three dimensions. Read more about having a CT scan.
Ultrasound uses high frequency waves to create pictures inside of the body. It can show internal organs as well as blood flow, as a result ultrasound is used to look for any changes in organs and tissue. Read more about having an ultrasound.
Mammography is a type of scan that uses low dose X-rays to examine the breast. It is used to help identify breast cancer in its early stages as it can find cancers that are too small to feel. Read more about having a mammogram.
An X-ray is a quick and painless method used to diagnose many health conditions. The procedure involves exposing part of your body to a small dose of ionizing radiation (X-rays). X-rays can take images of any bone in the body and are also used to look at the heart, lungs and blood vessels. Read more about having an X-ray.
