Mr Richard Hindley was appointed as Consultant Urologist at Basingstoke in 2004 with a remit of developing the laparoscopic renal service. Since then he has also developed interest and expertise in laser prostate surgery for benign prostate enlargement as well as focal therapy for localised prostate cancer using HIFU.
Mr Hindley is one of the leading experts in the field of focal therapy and receives enquiries and referrals from near and far. He has close research links with UCH in London and has a portfolio of trials running at the present time mainly in the fields of prostate and renal cancer.
Mr Hindley enjoys teaching and training, and in 2010 he was awarded a senior lectureship by the University of Southampton.
