Jo has just been awarded an MSc in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Kings College London (September 2010). This has enabled her to develop her skills in line with current Physiotherapy research.
Jo is trained in manipulative therapy, myofascial release, the use of taping to influence movement patterns, biomechanical assessment, Pilates and acupuncture.
When treating patients, Jo tends to use a combination of manual techniques and exercise rehabilitation in clinical practice to optimise patient care.
Her skills and interests include the assessment and management of sports injuries, spinal pain, headaches and post fracture rehabilitation.
Jo has worked closely with the orthopaedic specialists and consultant physiotherapists at the Royal London Training and Orthopaedic Hospital, making her aware of appropriate and timely referrals for diagnostic scans and surgical management.
