I am consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Whiston Hospital in Prescot and St Helens Hospital.I offer a wide range of lower limb orthopaedic procedures with a particular interest in foot and ankle surgery. I graduated from Barcelona Medical School in 1992 with honours, and undertook my orthopaedic surgical training in Manchester and London. My training included fellowships in lower limb surgery in the North West of England (Manchester). During this time I gained substantial knowledge and experience in both reconstructive and replacement surgery. I also spent 1 year in medical research as Sports Fellow in Imperial College School of Medicine, London. After completing my specialist training and obtained my Specialist exam in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery I was admitted to the Specialist Register of the UK General Medical Council. I am a full member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), British Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) and the British Association of Surgery of the Knee (BASK). I strongly believes in offering complete multidisciplinary lower limb, foot and ankle treatment through close links with referring therapists and clinicians.
I am interested in football, chess, tennis and squash and most importantly providing an entertainment service to my family.
