Professional profile:

I qualified from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School in 1981. I trained in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Royal Free Hospital and Sheffield, before receiving Fellowship training in Auckland, New Zealand under Prof Harley Gray.

I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust since 1993 and have been the Clinical Director of the Unit for 6 of the last 9 years.

In addition to a general trauma practice I manage specialist childrens' trauma, and complex foot and ankle injuires.

My adult elective practice is based in Foot and Ankle surgery, with a high proportion of consultations being referals from other orthopaedic consultants. In addition, I am one of three Childrens' Orthopaedic Surgeons in Cardiff managing talipes (club foot), lower limb reconstruction and neuromuscular conditions.

I have a clinic at Spire Hospital, Cardiff on Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings, and operate on Monday mornings.
