    I have practised as a consultant gastroenterologist in Cardiff since 1995, having qualified at Oxford University. I have a major interest in inflamatory bowel disease and I run a large irritable bowel disease clinic at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. There are a number of clinical trials in progress both at local and national level.
    I also run a home parenteral nutrition clinic, and I am a director of the endoscopy unit at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
