Throughout my training, I have developed a keen interest in all aspects of gynacology both routine and sub-specialised. I have had the good fortune to work for a number of extremely skilled gynaecological surgeons who in turn have encouraged me to develop my own skills to a high standard. In addition to the routine gynaecological surgery, I perform both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery to treat various gynaecological conditions such as ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and menstrual dysfunction.
My aim is where possible to perform gynaecological surgery using minimal access approach to maximise surgical outcome and minimise patient morbidity. Ninety percent of my hysterectomies are performed either vaginally or as a laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy.
I am accredited in gynaecological ultrasound both abdominal and vaginal. I routinely use gynaecological ultrasound in my outpatient consultations which result in quicker diagnosis and higher patients' satisfaction.
I am also accredited in both diagnostic and therapeutic colposcopy. I believe in one stop diagnosis and treatment for patients with abnormal smears. In my experience, this is very convenient for the vast majority of patients.

I am married and father of two children aged 13 and 11. I thoroughly enjoy the time with my family when I am not working. I enjoy countryside walking, listening to music and reading about history of medicine. I support several UK charities such as Cancer Research Fund and Action for Kids.
