I qualified from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in 1997, and subsequently completed Basic Surgical Training on the Oxford Rotation. I then undertook laboratory based clinical research on prostate cancer, at University College London prior to Higher Surgical Training in Urology (London).I am delighted to see all general Urology cases, including urgent referrals (Haematuria, raised PSA, prostate symptoms and Kidney Stones) as well as routine urology diagnostic cases. In addition I have a special interest in stone surgery and laser prostatectomy), as well as Upper Tract Laparoscopy and men's health.Academically, I have edited 5 teaching textbooks, published over 70 peer-reviewed Medline papers and presented at numerous national/international meetings. I have also organised several practical skill courses for fellow trainees, as well as career advice courses for medical students and junior doctors at the Royal Society of Medicine London.
I am married to a hard working and supportive wife, have two lovely children and passionately support Liverpool Football Club. I have also completed the London Marathon, raising money for a children's charity.
It is a pleasure to start here and, in conjunction with all my colleagues I hope to provide a quality 21st Century Urology service for North Wales and the Borders.
