He worked for the NHS for forty years and in 1998 retired from his NHS consultant post.Dr Sissons is still actively engaged in private clinical practice. His work is mainly consultative and covers the full range of clinical medicine. His special interests are cardiovascular disease, tribunal and medico-legal assessment. He is actively involved in teaching and is a senior examiner for the MRCP (UK).This work has recently taken him to Sri Lanka and Hong Kong.Dr Sissons is available for consultation on Wednesday mornings.

Dr Sissons is a keen enthusiast for outdoor pursuits, especially walking and golf.His leisure time is spent painting both in watercolour and oils.
