Professional profile:

I completed my specialist training in North East London Deanery in August 2008. After working as a Locum Consultant at Queens Hospital, Romford, I was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at South Hospital in April 2009. I am the lead clinician for the early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and Emergency Gynaecology and I conduct a recurrent miscarriage clinic once a month. Apart from general gynaecology, I treat patients with fertility problems and perform follicular tracking scans following ovulation induction. I also have a special interest in Minimal Access Surgery, both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.

I have many years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and I was initially trained in Sri Lanka and worked for a brief period as a Consultant.

Personal profile:

I work full time, have a young family and enjoy spending time with them. I play cricket and badminton during my free time and enjoy travelling.
