I have been in practice in Southend for 14 years. My interests are in upper limb surgery and sports medicine. I have an interest in wrist surgery, both acute fracture management, particularly bio-absorbable plates and bone substitutes, and investigation of chronic wrist problems including wrist arthroscopy. My elective interests include upper limb joint replacement including shoulder, elbow, wrist, thumb and fingers.

KinematX™ partial wrist replacement

Mr Packer was the surgeon who performed the world's first KinematX™ wrist hemi-arthroplasty on a local Southend patient in 2011.  The procedure attracted nation acoverage and an article was published in the Mail on Sunday detailing the operation which aims to retain greater wrist movement in younger patients in need of wrist surgery.
