Background Information 
Professional profile:
I have had a broad training in all aspects of adult and paediatric ENT practice. I also received specialist training in Head and Neck Oncology while Senior Registrar at the Royal Mardsen hospital. I spent a year as ENT Fellow at the Royal Darwin Hospital in Australia, where I gained considerable experience from managing severe and unusual pathology in the Aboriginal population, particularly chronic middle ear disease.

I was appointed as a consultant at Southend Hospital in 1999 and I was Head and Neck lead clinician for the South Essex Cancer Network from 2000-08. I am now the lead clinicial for the Essex ENT network. I provide a specialist level of service to the ENT department in Head and Neck oncology, thyroid surgery and surgery for skin tumours in the Head and Neck region. Recently I have developed a new practice in endoscopic nasal surgery for nasolacrimal duct obstruction.
Personal profile:
I have an interest in Art, including Art history. Through this I enjoy travel and have attempted to learn Italian. I have two young daughters, so when family commitments allow, I enjoy playing golf and watching football. As a life-long Aberdeen supporter I try to get to Pittodrie at least once a year, but I am able to go to Roots Hall more regularly.

I enjoy music and play the guitar, but I do need to expand my repertoire.
