Laura Dawson is a specialist speech and language therapist offering private speech and language assessment and therapy .
As an amateur singer, Laura received her training at University College London, a university for speech sciences; for which she was awarded the Clinical Prize for her clinical practice. Laura has advanced through her specialisms and currently works closely with her ENT colleagues at Southend University Hospital.
Within the NHS, Laura is a speech and language therapist in head and neck oncology working with patients for voice, swallowing and communication disorders pre, during and post treatment. She also sees a general medical and a neurological (stroke/progressive) patients for swallowing and communication disorders, including working with dementia.
Laura is a keen sports person and spends her free time playing Hockey for Brentwood and short-mid distance running. She also enjoys travelling in Europe, cooking, writing and singing.
