Professional profile:
I graduated in 1990 from Pakistan. I came to the UK in 1992, following an offer of a highly competitive scholarship award, ‘The British & Common Wealth Scholarship’. This enabled me to obtain MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London University, London.

My main interest was women’s sexual health. While working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology I became a member of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG) in 1998. I then joined GU Medicine obtaining CCST in 2002 and since then I am working as a Consultant in GU/HIV Medicine. As a result of my academic interest I also hold the title of Honorary Senior Lecturer, Queens Mary Medical School. I am author of peer reviewed publications and have presented in international conferences.
