    Professional profile:
    I run a comprehensive service for sleep apnoea. I have a particular interest in obstructive lung disease (both asthma and chronic). I have been on the British Thoracic Society, national guidelines committee for nasal ventilation, in acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and the B.T.S. national guidlines committee for diffuse interstitial lung disease.

    I have a major interest in lung cancer and I am the joint organiser of the Southend Lung Cancer database. I have continued research in many aspects of lung disease and have published over 40 papers and abstracts in the last 15 years.
