How to find Spire Washington Hospital

From A1(M) junction 63, signposted to Chester-le-Street

Picktree Lane, Rickleton, Washington, NE38 9JZ

At the roundabout take the Picktree exit. Go through Picktree for approximately one mile. The hospital is on the right.

By bus

From Durham City, use the 21 service and change in Chester-le-Street to the M3 service to Washington, which stops near the hospital. From Sunderland and Newcastle upon Tyne, the 77 service stops near the hospital in both directions. From Washington Galleries, use the M3 service.

By train

The hospital is approximately 20 minutes by taxi from Durham station and 20 minutes from Newcastle station. Both are on regular Intercity routes.

By air

The hospital is approximately 25 minutes by taxi from Newcastle Airport and approximately 40 minutes drive from Teesside Airport.
