Clinical Manager for Nutrition and Dietetics at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust
I have been a practicing Dietitian since I qualified in 1973. I have worked in the NHS for most of that time. For a short period I was a Nutritional Product Manager for a pharmaceutical company, formulating and marketing clinical nutritional products.
Prior to this period I was a research fellow at The University of Surrey and the McIndoe Burns Unit looking at how nutrition affects recovery from burns.
A large part of my clinical practice over a ten year period has been in Eating Disorders and Obesity. I trained in Counselling by completing a BACP accredited Diploma Counselling course this gave me the additional skills to make me more effective in my clinical work with patients.
