Your stay in hospital

As a private hospital, Spire Southampton Hospital offers all patients excellent facilities and aims to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

When you come in to have vasectomy reversal surgery you will need to arrive a little while before your operation a time will be given to you beforehand so your room is ready for you. When you first arrive at hospital you will need to report to main reception. There you will be met by one of the ward staff and taken to your own room to settle in.

Before your operation our specialit consultant Mr Rees will come and see you again and go through any last minute questions you may have. You will also be seen by the nurse and the anaesthetist who will be working with Mr Rees in theatre.

After your operation you will stay until you are comfortable enough to go home.

All patient rooms are ensuite with either a bath or shower room. The rooms have a direct dial telephone, TV with Freeview channels and a DVD player is available. Each room also has access to WiFi, so please feel free to bring your laptop or tablet with you.

If your wife or partner comes to hospital with you they are welcome to stay in your room whilse you are in surgery. There is also a hospital restaurant with lunch available to purchase between 12-2pm and with vending machines available at other times, including complimentary tea or coffee.
