Professional profile:
I am a Neurosurgeon at Southampton General Hospital.

I specialise in complex spinal surgery, pituitary surgery and head injuries. I perform the vast majority of my spinal operations with a minimal access technique; this is done through a small tube (about 2cm in diameter) and does not involve any muscle cutting. This technique is particularly suitable for people that want to return quickly to their normal activities (including athletics).

I have research and clinical interest in head trauma; currently all head injuries admitted to the Wessex Neurological Centre (Southampton General Hospital) are placed in my care.
