I am a Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in coronary artery and aortic valve intervention at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust, and Professor in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Southampton since June 2011.

I trained in cardiology at Southampton, Bournemouth, Royal Brompton, London Chest and St Bartholomews hospitals and completed a PhD in vascular biology at Imperial College, London between 1993-6. I have a particular interest in training and have been involved at a national and European level in developing training curricula in interventional cardiology.
