Cervical cancer vaccine

Spire Roding Hospital offers the Gardisil vaccine to young women from Essex, East London and beyond to help give them protection from most forms of cervical cancer.

Gardisil offers young women protection against cervical cancer

Available for young women aged 16 and above, Gardisil also helps prevent genital warts and pre-cancerous cervical lesions.

The vaccine, which is administered over a course of 3 injections in a 6 month period, offers protection against 4 types of the 'human papillomavirus' (2 of which cause 70% of cervical cancer cases, and the other 2 cause 90% of genital warts), compared to just 1 type of virus offered by alternative vaccines.

The service is led by our highly experienced clinical oncologist, Dr Sherif Raouf, and is available in a clean and comfortable private hospital environment.

Patients do not need to be referred by a GP for this service.
