Ziali Sivardeen is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in conditions affecting the shoulder and knee, including sports injuries. He works at one of the University Hospitals in London.
Mr SIvardeen is a well respected surgeon, who has dealt with patients from professional football clubs, as well as international-level sports people.
He is often invited to give lectures to other consultant surgeons around the world about treating various conditions, and has recently helped to organise a sports injury symposium at one of the biggest and oldest orthopaedic meetings in the world.
Mr SIvardeen is heavily involved in training young surgeons. He is the Royal College of Surgeons Tutor at his hospital, so has overall responsibility for the teaching/training of all surgical trainees in his hospital. He is also on the Specialist Training Committee for Sports and Exercise Medicine in London.
A keen sportsman himself, Mr Sivardeen has played rugby, football and cricket at various representative levels including rugby at county and university level.
