Mr Tony Owa is a consultant ENT surgeon at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex and Spire Roding Hospital in Redbridge, Essex, offering ENT surgery in our clean and comfortable hospitals.

Tony Owa trained as a doctor at the University of Benin, Nigeria and then did his general surgical and ENT training in London and Cambridge. He joined the North Thames oto-laryngology specialist training programme in 1997.

Mr Owa spent a year in the University of Utah, Salt Lake City doing a fellowship in otology and neuro-otology. During this time he received the American Neuro-otology Society Fellows Award for 2002.

Tony Owa designed the "Addenbrooke's Owa grommet" (tiny ventilation tube) for the treatment of glue ear (middle ear disease). He has presented at many national and international conferences on a broad range of ENT topics and has taught on sinus and ear surgery courses in the UK and overseas.

Tony Owa also runs a specialist balance clinic once a month at Spire Hartswood Hospital.

My main interests are playing golf, football and chess. I also enjoy travelling and am engaged in charity work for my local church.
