Professional profile:
I was awarded a scholarship to study Medicine at Cambridge University and after 3 years, I transferred to Oxford University to complete my medical training.

I obtained the General Surgery and ENT fellowships before completing higher surgical training in ENT in Cambridge and Nrowich.

I have visited various centres of excellence across Europe and Australia to learn the most up to date techniques. I was appointed as Consultant ENT Surgeon with a special interest in cochlear implants at the prestigious Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in 2002.

I am also a main provider of children's ENT services, and also deal with nasal and sinus problems. My research interests include advances in hearing implants and the restoration of hearing.
Personal profile:
I believe in advances in hearing surgery should be available to all, and am collaborating with centres in developing countries to help them start up their cochlear implant programmes and to ensure that the latest and best techniques are made available to them

I am a keen sportsman, and I enjoy playing football, cricket and tennis. I also enjoy travel and time spent with my family.
