I qualified from Cambridge University and trained in cardiology in a variety of major cardiac centres in London, including the Royal Brompton Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, St Mary's Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital.

I obtained a PhD in cardiac electrophysiology from Imperial College.

I have been a consultant cardiologist since 2001 and I now lead the cardiology service in East Cheshire.
