Professional profile:
Mr Stuart Hall studied medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School and completed two years of NHS service before joining the Royal Air Force. The RAF gave Mr Hall the opportunity to gain his surgical fellowship whilst working in the UK and Germany. He then temporarily went back to the NHS to allow him to complete training in Urological Surgery in the Wessex region.

Mr Hall subsequently returned to the RAF to work as a consultant in the urology department at Haslar Hospital. In becoming the lead clinician in urology he has overseen a redevelopment of the department and recently its integration into the Solent urology department at St Mary's Hospital, Portsmouth. He has worked as a consultant at St Mary’s over the last three and a half years, being Clinical Director for the last year.

His practice is one of general urology, but his main interest lies in urological cancer, especially its early diagnosis and treatment, using a multi-disciplinary approach. Other interests include the investigation and treatment of voiding problems and vasectomy reversal. He is a keen supporter of improving patient information and education.

Outside a busy NHS job, Mr Hall is kept busy by the activities of three children and by a love of aviation, traditional jazz, fine art and fine wine.
