Mr Keoghane qualified from the Middlesex Hospital Medical School, London in 1989 and trained in Urology in Oxford.

Two years were spent at Oxford University undertaking research into lasers in urological surgery. This led to the award of an MS thesis - the highest degree awarded by London University where he orginally qualified.

Following completion of his training, he spent a further year as a fellow learning state of the art treatment for kidney stones in Bristol and the USA.

He has pioneered treating kidney stones as a day case using flexible telescopes and has an international reputation for research.

Mr Keoghane also runs general urology clinics and has a great deal of experience and a balanced, evidence based view on all urological conditions.
Personal profile:
Mr Keoghane has many interests outside Urology including a love for the British countryside and the associated rural life.

He enjoys riding, cricket, horse racing, sporting art and antiquarian books and the summer is dominated by a passion for watching and playing polo.

He has served in a Territorial Army Cavalry Regiment for many years and represented his Regiment at skiing and polo.
