I am a consultant clinical oncologist and I am trained to deliver radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other cancer drug treatments.  I attend international conferences and national meetings regularly to keep abreast of the latest developments in cancer care.  I also participate in various research projects in breast cancer and am a member of many cancer networks.  My philosophy is to treat people as individuals in a holistic way and encourage them to make lifestyle changes.

I trained and qualified as a consultant clinical oncologist in Finland at the University Hospital in Turku.  After training I worked as a locum consultant in the same hospital and in the local hospice.  After 2 years work experience in a Finnish pharmaceutical company (Orion-Farmos), I moved to the UK and worked as a Research Fellow in the Breast Unit and the Thyroid Unit.  Before I was appointed to my current post I worked as a locum consultant oncologist at the Royal Free Hospital in London. 

I treat the following conditions:

1. Breast cancer (radiotherapy for both breast and secondaries, chemotherapy, endocrine and infusional treastments)
2. Melanoma (chemotherapy, radiotherapy)
3. Other skin cancers (radiotherapy)
4. Soft tissue sarcoma (chemotherapy, radiotherapy)
5. Life style and dietary advice in cancer care

I live with my partner in Petersfield.  I enjoy country walks, travelling, keeping fit, photography and music.
