My aim is to provide an individualised care package that addresses the needs, expectations and concerns of the woman and her family.
In addition to my general training in gynaecology, I have completed to Royal College certification level, training in a number of specialist areas: infertility and assisted reproduction, laparoscopic surgery and gynaecologic ultrasound. I was awarded the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree by the University of Birmingham for my research into fallopian tube function. I have published 40 scientific papers in international journals on infertility, selective salpingography and gynaecology in general and have presented work at national and international conferences.
My experience in the treatment of women with fertility problems has given me an in depth insight into conditions like fibroids, polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, irregular periods which can explain delays in conceiving. Reversal of sterilisation and tubal surgery, using microsurgical principles, are also favourite procedures.
I am married to a GP and have two children who take up most of my time when I'm not at work. We all enjoy going to the cinema when possible.
