Mr Duncan currently works as a Consultant in Gynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, and also runs an outpatient clinic in Cromer. He is the clinical lead for the investigation and management of postmenopausal bleeding. Mr Duncan practices in general gynaecology and specialises in colposcopy and the investigation and treatment of women with possible gynaecological cancer. Other specialist skills include advanced laparoscopic surgery, outpatient hysteroscopy and colposcopy.
Mr Duncan trained in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Nottingham, following which he completed a 3 year subspeciality training programme in Gynaecological Oncology and advanced laparoscopic surgery. This included a research MD in molecular prognostic markers in ovarian cancer.
Mr Duncan offers up-to-date methods for treating common gynaecological problems such as menstrual irregularities including heavy, irregular and post-menopausal bleeding, fibroids, ovarian cysts and prolapse. Many techniques involve investigation and treatment as an outpatient. Where possible, the use of minimal access surgical techniques enables a more rapid recovery and return to normal activities.
Mr Duncan is married and enjoys cycling, skiing and football outside of work as well as being a keen chef.
