Mr Figus is a specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery since 2004. His main clinical interests are breast reconstruction, hand surgery and microsurgery. Mr Figus worked in Italy, Brazil and the UK gaining a wide experience in these specialities.
Mr Figus routinely offers a range of reconstructive procedures within the surgical treatment of breast cancer including partial mastectomy defects. He performs all of spectrum of breast procedures as to breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast asymmetry and breast lift.
Mr Figus performs a wide range of operations for trauma and elective hand surgery and has a particular interest in Dupuytren's disease, tendon reconstruction, nerve compressions and treatment of nerve palsy in the forearm and hand. He is involved routinely with diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers.
Mr Figus' microsurgical experience is applied mainly to breast reconstruction, upper and lower limb reconstruction. He developed a peculiar attention towards cosmetic surgery performing up-dated surgical and ancillary procedures for body contouring including botulinum toxin and fillers.
Mr Figus is involved in the treatment of congenital anomalies as amastia, tuberous breast, gynecomastia, bat ears and excess of labia minora.
Mr Figus has a recognised profile as a researcher in Italy and in the UK. He is author of more than 65 publications in the International Plastic Surgery Literature and he is a reviewer for the most important international journals of Plastic Surgery.
Mr Figus is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of East Anglia and he is in charge for courses in skin suturing and breast surgery.
