Mr Peter graduated from Mahatma Gandhi University in India in 1993 and then obtained his Master’s Degree from the University of Bombay [MS Orthopaedics] in 1997. He spent a year as a research fellow at the University of Hull investigating computer assisted Orthopaedic Surgery before commencing his orthopaedic training on the Mersey rotation.
His special interest is lower limb [Hip and Knee] surgery.
Prior to taking up the post of consultant orthopaedic surgeon in lower limb arthroplasty at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Teaching Hospitals in February 2008, he did six months fellowships at the Wrightington Hospital and at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham in complex hip and knee surgery and hip resurfacing.
He is one of the principal hip surgeons at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospitals and is one of the few surgeons in the region with experience in Hip Arthroscopy.
Mr Peter has a keen interest in all forms of outdoor sport, especially cricket and football. His philosophy in life and work is “whatever you do, do it the best you can”.
