    Garth Titley has been a consultant plastic surgeon since 1999. His NHS practice is based at the West Midlands Regional Plastic Surgery Unit, University Hospital Birmingham. He was visiting consultant to Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield between 1999 and 2009 during which time he was lead clinician for skin cancer at Good Hope Hospital and a member of the West Midlands Specialist Training Committee for plastic surgery.

    Garth Titley graduated, MB ChB distinction in surgery, from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1986. He was also awarded the Sampson Gamgee prize (first place in surgery).

    Following qualification he spent two years in the department of anatomy at Birmingham University teaching anatomy and undertaking research. He was awarded the degree of Master of Science for this research work.
    He undertook general surgical training in Leicester, qualifying FRCS(Eng) in 1992.

    His training in plastic surgery was obtained in the West Midlands, During his training he was awarded the Frank Cort Prize (1997) and a British Association of Plastic Surgeons travelling bursary (1998) to work and study at the internationally renown Hand and Microsurgery Unit of the Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Australia.

    He has a general, cosmetic and hand surgery practice. Areas of particular interest are: Breast augmentation, adominoplasty, non-surgical treatment of facial lines and pilonidal sinus disease. He has also had specialist training in the use of botulinum toxin for the treatment of facial lines.

    Personal profile:
    Garth is married with two young children. He is a member of The Edgbaston Priory club and is a keen, if not very talented, raquetball player. He suffers an incurable, life-long affliction being a season-ticket holder of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC!
