Mr Abrew was appointed as Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon to Walsall NHS Trust in 2002. Prior to this appointment he was a Consultant Surgeon at Pembrokeshire and Derwent NHS trust. He was trained in London and Wessex.
His interest and expertise lies in aortic aneurysm surgery, Endovascular surgery (key hole surgery for repair of aortic aneurysms) and minimally invasive surgery for varicose veins. He is also a general surgeon with expertise in areas of thyroid and hernia surgery.
Mr Abrew is married with two daughters and he lives in Four Oaks in Sutton Coldfield. Outside of medicine his interests include opera, reading biographies and wine tasting. He is a rotarian and provides fair contribution to charity work at rotary club.
