Professional profile:
After qualifying from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London, Mr Davies trained, initially, in general surgery and then general obstetrics and gynaecology, first in Nottingham and then in Birmingham. He spent two years in Nottingham researching the use of a monoclonal antibody in ovarian cancer. Mr Davies then went on to Birmingham, where he completed two years sub-speciality training in gynaecological oncology. Mr Davies currently practices in general gynaecology and specialises in gynaecological oncology and colposcopy.
Personal profile:
Mr Davies is married with four children. His main interest outside of medicine is sports. He is a keen follower of rugby and soccer, as a spectator, but plays both tennis and squash.
