Professional profile:
Dr Harman studied pre-clinical medicine at Oxford University and graduated with a first class degree.

Thereafter, she studied clinical medicine at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. Upon completing general professional training in general (internal) medicine in Cambridge, Dr Harman moved to London for specialist training in dermatology.

She was a specialist registrar at the St Johns Institute of Dermatology and Kings College Hospital. Dr Harman also spent two years in research at the St Johns Institute, investigating autoimmune blistering disorders. This led to a doctorate thesis and was awarded a DM degree from Oxford University in 2002.

Dr Harman was appointed Consultant Dermatologist at University Hospitals of Leicester in 2002. She is also a section editor for the British Journal of Dermatology.
